We are so grateful to have Dr. Charles Sneiderman. He has been an expert advisor during the transition to using electronic medical records (EMR), a process that is complex and requires a great deal of patience and knowledge.
Dr. Sneiderman plays a role in reviewing each of our nurse practitioner’s work. He is a leading voice in clinical policy and helps to set up clinical policy at Culmore Clinic.
A Bit More About Dr. Sneiderman:
Dr. Sneiderman, MD, PhD, retired in 2010 after a 31-year career in medical informatics at the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications, National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. His work included research and development in telemedicine, distance learning, medical language and image processing. He has authored numerous scientific reports, book chapters, and medical educational media. Since leaving Federal service, he has developed a computerized clinical decision support system to assist primary health care practices in the recognition and management of post-traumatic stress syndromes with support from the NLM Disaster Information Management Research Center. Dr. Sneiderman has practiced family and emergency medicine part-time in the Washington, DC area since 1980 and loves his work with Culmore Clinic. He lives in the Bailey’s Crossroads area with his wife. In their free time, he volunteers with disabled veterans.
